 South Shore Kauai Whale Watching

View the Humpback whales during their winter migration to Hawaiian waters. Learn about the whales from our on-board expert, Captain Tara – a Marine Biologist or one of her hand picked Captains. You will have a HYDROPHONE (underwater microphone) on board to hear the whales’ song!  Seasonal tours (December thru April) leave from Poipu in the afternoon when the Whales are typically the most surface active for your viewing pleasure. Explore the south shore on a 24 foot Zodiac “Hurricane”, a rigid hull inflatable used by Navy Seals. Light snacks and beverages are served.

My family and I will be spending a week in Kauai February 4th- 9th and we would like to go on a whale watching tour. After a little bit of research we saw that whales tend to be more active during the later hours of the day and that the sun sets around 1830. We were wondering if this information is correct?
we also have a few questions:

How many people are allowed on a boat? (We have 6)
What do you have available?
Would we be back before dark?

Thank you for taking time to answer our questions! If you have any more information for us, Please let it know.

Aloha Pamela! You will be here at a great time for this Whale Watching Tour. This tour checks in at 3:45pm. Its hard to say the “best” time to see the whales. However Capt. Tara, Marine Biologist, has chosen the afternoon for her whale watching tour. You will be back before the sun sets. This boat can take up to 15 people. The tours do fill up fast so to keep your party of 6 together I would recommend booking soon. Fill out the online reservation form with the date of your choice. I do recommend booking any water activities in the beginning of your trip just in case of a weather cancellation and having to re schedule. You can also call me toll free at 1-866-897-1637 to reserve this tour.

Have you taken this tour? Got a question or a comment?
We would love to hear from you!
