The first of its kind in Hawaii.  A calm-water river stand up paddle board tour. You’ll paddle downwind, hike to waterfalls, ride a very cool little water zip line, and much more.

Stand up paddle (SUP) boarding is the latest in water sport innovation and is taking the world by storm. Get ready for a half day of discovery and see what all the fuss is about. Creek and paddle provided. After an informative and fun SUP lesson, your experienced guides will fit you with the stable, state-of-the-art SURFTECH board and paddle that are just right for you. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to put your best foot forward, and…STAND UP! Paddle and glide as you cruise downwind 2 miles along a tranquil jungle stream. While you’re perfecting your technique, enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Hule’ia National Wildlife Refuge, ringed by the majestic Hau’pu Mountains.

Step from board to shore and hike lush rain forest trails under a tree-shaded canopy. Cool off in the mountain-stream fed waters of the secluded Blue Pool, home to everyone’s favorite the Water Zip! Just hold on, step off, and splash! Cannonball competitions encouraged. On the return trip, trade your Stand Up for a sit down, and relax while our motorized Hawaiian-style canoe brings it all home.

What to wear & bring

Swimwear, footwear with aggressive tread pattern & that can get wet(i.e. sport style sandals or aqua socks), towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, light windbreaker or raincoat, waterproof camera.

What’s included

Picnic lunch consisting of a turkey or veggie wrap, pasta salad, cookie, juice and a cold bottled water. Gear and instruction.
